Lynx transom

Lyndon Scaffolding Plc developed the Lynx transom to meet the challenge of fast track modular construction projects. The Lynx transom and Lyndon’s methodology offers the ability to:

• erect a full height braceless scaffold; and
• make rapid, safe and efficient alterations to the scaffolds.

The Lynx transom allows many trades to work on the scaffold with minimum number of alterations.

Lynx adjustable transom

System scaffolding

The Lynx adjustable transom is a board bearing component, developed by Lyndon Scaffolding Plc to significantly enhance the efficiency of alterations.

The adjustable inside board bearer allows boards to be removed without altering the main body of the scaffold. On sheeted scaffolds this greatly enhances the aesthetic appearance, as it does not result in tubes poking through sheeting.

High yield steel

Scaffold tube is the most basic and overlooked of scaffolding components. Lyndon Scaffolding Plc has been pushing a quiet revolution in the industry by buying only high yield steel for over 20 years.

Traditional scaffold tube is 4mm thick and has a yield strength of 235N/m2, a 21’ tube weighs approximately 27kg. What advantages does high yield steel give Lyndon?

• Stronger – The yield strength is 355N/m2 ie it is over 50% stronger than traditional tube;
• Lighter – all tube purchased is 3.2mm. As a result it is some 25% lighter.
• Safer – by being both lighter and stronger Lyndon’s choice of tube greatly enhances safety factors as:

• It is easier for the scaffolders to use – tired men make mistakes. Lyndon’s tube means that the scaffolders will be less fatigued;
• Design capacity is greater. The improved bending moment and reduced weight mean that Lyndon’s scaffolds have additional safety factors built in.
