History

Looking at the evolution of Lyndon Scaffolding Plc explains much of the philosophy behind the success of the business.

The founders, Tommy and Paddy Lynch established Lyndon Scaffolding in 1968. Both brothers were scaffolders for over 20 years. As a result they have a total understanding of what it takes to operate a successful scaffolding business at the sharp end.

Lyndon Scaffolding remains a family owned and run business. As such it is able to plan for the long term rather than be driven by short term market demands. Lyndon Scaffolding has been profitable throughout its history and each year it has reinvested significantly into the business. It directly owns all its equipment, transport and depots, operational assets which would cost over £25 million to replace.

Each regional manager, contract manager and supervisor is an experienced and trained scaffolder and has practical knowledge of how to do the work, and training to ensure that it can be delivered on time, on budget and without incident.

Everything Lyndon Scaffolding does is aimed at providing the best temporary access possible.

Our people

It doesn’t matter how many mission statements or visions a management team produces – if the scaffolders aren’t capable, or simply don’t care, they will never provide a reliable high quality service.

Lyndon Scaffolding Plc is in a uniquely privileged position. Lyndon uses only directly employed, fully trained employees. The vast majority of Lyndon Scaffolding’s competition relies either entirely or substantially on a nomadic sub contract work force that will leave site as soon as a better offer appears.

Lyndon has a highly qualified work force with scaffolders qualified in PTS, BESC, Asbestos training, first aid, …the list goes on and on…

It is an essential part of our ethos that the senior management positions are held by experienced scaffolders. Knowledge and experience of scaffolding is at the centre of everything we do.

Our people
